The Academy Award-Winning Gyron SUPER-G redefines the creative possibilities of aerial film.
The Gyron Super G is a unique 5-axis aerial cinematography system that eliminates adverse motion artifacts and can be used on many types of helicopters and airplanes to produce stable images throughout a typical 25-250mm (film lens) zoom range with full look down capability.
The true open architecture design, with adjustable side arms, allows for an entire range of cameras, from Hi-DEF video to IMAX cameras, and can accommodate many size payloads.
Gyron FS 35mm Near the Amalfi Coast, Italy
HDaerial completed a three week aerial production for Anheuser Busch Gardens. HDaerial shot throughout Europe, using the Gyron Stab C and the SONY F35 HD camera “Amazing Camera”, docked with the SRW-1 HD Recorder. The Stab C eliminates Pan, Tilt and Roll Jitter to the camera. Maintains internally stabilized pointing direction independent of vehicle maneuvers. Fully and easily steerable in all three axis: Pan, tilt and roll. The only gimbal with stabilized steerable roll control. Remote controlled motorized 2X extender on lens. All up weight: 126 pounds
The Gyron FS is the film version of the long proven Gyron aerial camera system. The Gyron is unique among gyrostabilized camera systems in that it does not use high mass spinning gyros for stabilization. It is a double gimbal where the inner gimbal is stabilized by a mag-lev type system. In this “no moving parts version, the stabilizing force is applied magnetically to the perimeter of the gimbal thereby maximizing its effect. Because of this, stability is very high and power consumption is exceptionally low, around 3 amperes in standby and only 15 amps under the most demanding conditions.
The Gyron FS has already been used on several features films including; Band of Brothers, Men of Honor, D’Artangan, Chocolat, Bourne Identity, and numerous commercials. The Gyron FS can be used on a variety of helicopters, camera cars, cranes, and cable rigs. The Gyron FS is available now.
